The theme of this year’s conference is “Coming of Age”, and our program features renowned experts in the field of aging presenting interactive workshops, sessions on various dimensions of gerontology, panel discussions and a student research competition.

For the first time in history, Canadian seniors outnumber their younger counterparts. This new demographic reality should be met with hope and optimism, as older adults in Canada are living longer, are healthier and wealthier. Reaching this milestone is also an opportunity to adopt changes in practices and policies to meet the transforming needs of today’s seniors.

The 2016 Annual NICE Knowledge Exchange (ANKE2016) will provide a platform for learning about and responding to policy and practice needs of a new age of older adults, and ensuring that equal citizenship rights are upheld.
