Dr. Michael Cusimano and the Injury Prevention Research Office at St. Michael’s Hospital invites you to attend the fourth annual concussion conference at St. Michael’s Hospital entitled, “Heads Up Conference 2014: Going Beyond the Playing Field”.

The mandate of the Heads Up Conference is to raise awareness about the mechanisms and outcomes surrounding concussions in sports and daily life and to generate discussion about head injury prevention. 

This year’s talks will examine the issues surrounding concussion and head injuries with a wider lens. From the medical, social, and psychiatric management of patients to the perspectives of referees, schools, and the government, we will aim to better understand how to improve prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of head injuries. 

When: Saturday, September 27, 2014

Time: 9 a.m. – noon. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. 

Where: Paul Marshall Lecture Theatre @ St. Michael’s Hospital, Level B1, Donnelly Wing (next to Second Cup, near the Queen Street entrance)
