Each year UTIHP hosts a Health and Human Rights Conference.  This year the focus is on Global Health from a Canadian Perspective – the role Canada plays in global health, Canada's position within the realm of global health, and health concerns of populations within Canada, such as Aboriginal populations. We are very proud of our two keynotes speakers: Dr. Samantha Nutt, founder of War Child Canada (, and James Fraser, co-founder of Dignitas International. Additionally, DLSPH faculty member Carol Strike will be speaking Friday night.

The conference will be held on campus between March 22nd and 23rd.  Please see the conference website and Facebook pages as well as the attached poster for further info and to register:

We will be holding TEDx style talks Friday, a panel discussion on "Health Out Loud", numerous breakout sessions, an NGO open house, and Research Fair.

We encourage all DLSPH students to attend and participate as there will be a wide variety of topics presented and many opportunities for engagement throughout the two days.

UTIHP is a student group aiming to increase awareness and engagement with global health issues amongst the UofT student body.
