Academic symposium that will provide students, faculty and other audience members with the opportunity to engage with critical issues on the importance of traditional Indigenous health and Indigenous environmental justice principles.

Event Schedule:

4:10 PM – Opening Smudging Ceremony by Indigenous Elder

4:15 – 5:00 PM – Indigenous Health Sovereignty in an Urban Setting (Anishnawbe Health Toronto: Melissa Stevenson, John Laforme)

5:00 – 6:00 PM – Environmental Justice and Water Governance (Deborah McGregor, Canada Research Chair on Indigenous Environmental Justice)
