Rotman Room 133
  • March 3, 2017 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm

How did the heavy-metal poisoning crises in Flint, Michigan and Grassy Narrows, Ontario come about? How do these fit into issues of environmental racism, regulations, and politics?
Join us on March 3rd from 4-6 PM for a panel and open discussion on these issues and relate global public health to politics. In addition, we will officially launch Juxtaposition Magazine’s Issue 9.1 (https://issuu.com/juxtaposition/docs/juxtaposition_9_1), which contains various articles, including ones that discuss Flint, Grassy Narrows, lead poisoning, and India’s population control policies.

Invited speakers include Dr. Donald Cole and Dr. Anne-Emanuelle Birn.
