Presented by the Emerging & Pandemic Infections Consortium (EPIC) and the Institute of Health Emergencies & Pandemics (IHEP) …

A two-day event to bring together the microbiology and infectious diseases community in Toronto.

The annual University of Toronto Microbiology and Infectious Diseases Research Days return on May 27th and 28th, 2026. Join the Emerging & Pandemic Infections Consortium (EPIC) for a day of trainee talks on May 27th and an invited keynote, faculty talks and posters on May 28th!

We begin the event by highlighting some of the excellent research done by our trainee community on May 27th, through the featured trainee talks and flash talks.

Join us again on May 28th for an exciting invited keynote presentation, faculty talks and a poster session.

Stay tuned for the announcement of the full agenda and keynote speaker.

Both days are free and open to all faculty, staff, and trainees at an EPIC-partnered institution to attend. Please register using your institutional email address.

This event is organized by the Emerging and Pandemic Infections Consortium in collaboration with the Division of Infectious Diseases at U of T’s Department of Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases at SickKids, Institute of Health Emergencies & Pandemics and U of T’s postgraduate medical and clinical microbiology programs.
