We are pleased to announce the 2020-21 PHS Student Conference Awards.

The PHS Student Conference Award provides support to Master’s or PhD students in the Department of Public Health Sciences at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health, who are attending academic conferences where they are a presenting author on a paper or poster. The award is designed to help cover a portion of expenses incurred in conference registration and material preparation. For the 2020-21 year we recognize that conference attendance will be largely virtual due to travel restrictions related to COVID -19 and we expect our students to follow the travel advisories issued by the Government of Canada (see below).

Up to 6 awards are available this year, with each valued up to $500.

Deadline to apply is May 26, 2021 for conferences occurring between September 1, 2020 – August 31, 2021. Late applications will not be accepted.

IMPORTANT: The Government of Canada advises against all non-essential travel outside of Canada. Accordingly, the University is also advising all members of its community to avoid all non-essential international travel at this time. Please consult the Government of Canada’s COVID-19 travel advisory website for more information on international travel. As of September 28, 2020, the University of Toronto has extended the cancellation of future University activity to international locations for all students until April 30, 2021. For current information on this and other travel related information, please refer to the U of T COVID-19 Information for Students webpage.
