Alia Miroshnichenko

Alia Miroshnichenko holds a PhD in communications/digital media, a master’s degree in science and technology and a master of fine arts degree in music composition. She is a musician, composer, performer and music technology researcher dedicated to exploring how digital technologies, specifically platformization, are impacting and transforming musicianship, music business and musical cultures. With more than 10 years of experience in tech as a user experience engineer and software developer, she works in the live music industry and as a music producer while also researching and documenting the histories and realities of local music scenes in Toronto.
