Nadin Gilroy
Class of 2026
Nadin is a family physician specializing in broad-spectrum generalist medicine in remote northern Manitoba focusing on Indigenous health disparities. Her practice also involves palliative care and reproductive health, including abortion services. Born in Switzerland, Nadin launched her career in theatre in 1990, performing in productions throughout Europe. She continued acting after immigrating to Canada in her mid-20s. In her mid-30s, driven by a passion for equity and social justice, she returned to university and studied medicine. Her diverse experiences result in innovative approaches, amplifying underserved voices. Through journalism she seeks to harness storytelling to expose systemic barriers, empower communities and enhance her advocacy.
