DLSPH welcomes Eric Ng as Associate Director of Nutrition and Dietetics MPH Program

Eric Ng took on a new role with the Graduate Department of Public Health Sciences in the Dalla Lana School of Public Health as Associate Director of the MPHNutrition and Dietetics Program on August 7, 2018.

Eric Ng

Eric is a Registered Dietitian with more than 10 years’ experience in public health, community nutrition, mental health, health equity and dietetic education.

Eric joined the DLSPH in 2016 as a Sessional Lecturer teaching Management of Community Food Systems where he facilitated interactive discussions on food systems, community engagement, sustainability and food justice. He is also a member of the Dietitians of Canada Sustainable Food System Leadership Team and has significant experience collaborating with a variety of stakeholders, including local farmers, community agencies and public health practitioners.

Before assuming this role, Eric was a health equity specialist at Toronto Public Health, where he held a variety of positions in areas including: Indigenous Health, Health Equity and Accessibility.

Eric is a U of T alumnus with an Honours Bachelor of Science, holds an MPH from the University of Waterloo and Certificates in Business Management and Accessibility Practices from Ryerson University.

In the role of Associate Program Director, Eric will work closely with Program Director Pierrette Buklis and other faculty members on matters related to curriculum, practica and interprofessional learning. He will provide mentorship to MPH students, including professional and career development, and liaise with community partners.
