Thursday, September 19, 2019, Navigating graduate school and tackling graduate writing

Session 1 (4-5PM): Academic Success Workshop MSB3153

Starting graduate school is an exciting and challenging transition. Many of the skills that you developed in your undergraduate degree will be very useful to you at this new level of study. However, no matter what your academic or professional background, your graduate studies will require you learn new ways of working, and you will have to develop new skills as well, or at least learn how to adapt your skills to the new kinds of work that you’ll be expected to do. This interactive workshop will give students an overview of the kinds of skills that they might need to develop or strengthen in order to succeed in their studies; we will also discuss the myriad resources available to grad students at UofT that can help them meet the new challenges they encounter in their academic work.
