Dr. Samantha Green is a family physician at the St. Michael’s Hospital Sumac Creek Health Centre in Regent Park. She also provides primary care once a week at Sound Times, a drop-in for those who are homeless, experiencing addiction, or involved in the criminal justice system.  Her clinical work focuses on marginalized populations, especially those experiencing homelessness, those involved in the criminal justice system, and newcomers.  She is the Chair of Health Providers Against Poverty, a member of the Poverty and Health Committee of the Ontario College of Family Physicians, and a member of the Cycle Toronto advocacy committee. She was Primary Care Lead of the Inner City Health Associates from 2014-2016. In 2015-16 Dr Green and theTreating Poverty Workshop team won the PD award for Excellence in Continuing Education. Dr Green completed medical school at the University of Ottawa in 2011 and residency in Family Medicine residency at McMaster University in 2013.
