Dr. Popova is leading one of the largest studies, guided by the World Health Organization and NIAAA, on determining the global prevalence of FASD among children in low- and middle-income countries of Eastern and Central Europe and Africa, as well as Canada. She is also leading the study on developing and implementing curriculum on FASD prevention in urban, rural and First Nation schools in Ontario, Canada, funded by the Public Health Agency of Canada.
