Thanks and Best Wishes to Dr. Fran Scott

The Division of Clinical Public Health and the Dalla Lana School of Public Health would like to express sincere thanks and best wishes to Dr. Fran Scott who is embarking on a new role at McMaster University.
 
Professor Scott is an exemplary leader in public health education. She was the Program Director of the Public Health and Preventive Medicine (PHPM) Residency program and Course Director for the Determinants of Community Health course in the Undergraduate Medicine program at the University of Toronto.
 
“Fran was universally admired and respected by all who worked with her,” said Ross Upshur, Head of the Clinical Public Health Division, noting her tireless advocacy efforts for public health education and practice.  “She will be missed and we wish her success in her new role.”
 
The PHPM residency program and many Dalla Lana School of Public Health staff and faculty celebrated her years with a farewell ceremony and slide show on June 20, 2014. Drs. Barry Pakes and Onye Nnorom will serve as Program Director and Associate Program Director of the Public Health and Preventive Medicine Residency Program at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health, effective July 1, 2014.
