This 6-week course (M/Thu, 6 hours) explores the challenges and opportunities presented by global demographic transformations leading to an aging population. It delves deep into understanding and implementing strategies to promote healthy longevity using a life-course approach and with an emphasis on prevention and treatment of non-communicable diseases (NCDs). By the end of the course, students will gain an advanced understanding of the multidimensional challenges posed by demographic change and increasing NCDs, and insights into the challenges and development of comprehensive policies for low and middle-income countries.
