What can large-scale cohort studies reveal about the intersection of environment and disease?
Dr. Sasha Bernatsky, James McGill Professor of Medicine at McGill University, is tackling big questions about environmental health and rheumatic disease. Using data from CanPath, a centre at DLSPH and Canada’s largest population health study, she researches how air pollution shapes autoimmunity and inflammation. She’ll also offer a sneak peek at her CIHR-funded study on wildfire smoke and temperature extremes impacting rheumatic diseases in Canada.
