Learn about “Data Science in Healthcare: From Computer to Clinical Care” at the Data Science Speaker Series at U of T.

Join us online on November 16 to hear from Dr. Muhammad Mamdani, who is director of the newly established Temerty Centre for AI Research and Education in Medicine (T-CAIREM) at U of T, as he talks through broad types of data science applications in the hospital setting and uses case examples to demonstrate practical considerations in their development and deployment.

Dr. Mamdani is also vice president of data science and advanced analytics at Unity Health Toronto and the Odette Chair in Advanced Analytics.

You will be able to ask questions live!

The session will be moderated by CANSSI Ontario Director and DLSPH Professor Dr. Lisa Strug.

The Data Science Speaker Series at U of T (DSSS) is the result of a collaboration of Data Science programs at the University of Toronto: the Master of Science in Applied Computing (MScAC) in the Department of Computer Science, the Master of Management Analytics at the Rotman School of Management, and CANSSI Ontario.

Together, we seek to advance knowledge in the field of data science by featuring world-class speakers from academic, healthcare, industry, finance, technology, sports, and other sectors and industries.
