The Public Health Physicians of Canada is the national specialty society for Public Health and Preventive Medicine Specialists. We are the unique and vibrant voice for public health physicians and represent the interests of both PHPM Specialists and other physicians working in public health across Canada.

Public Health Physicians of Canada invites members and friends to our Virtual CPD event that replaces our 2-day CPD Symposium.

This accredited session will include our Annual General Meeting, a Keynote on Artificial Intelligence in Public Health, abstracts from colleagues, and a structured COVID-19 session to end the day. Please see the schedule at the link below.

Given, the evolving nature of the COVID-19 response, this year’s CPD day will instead be held as a virtual event on Sunday, April 26, 2020.  A half-day session of the symposium will be dedicated to sharing information and learnings regarding COVID-19.

This accredited event will include dedicated time to COVID-19 as well as other topics of interest to public health physicians. The fee has been decreased to $125. A more detailed schedule to follow.

For those who have already registered, we are working on a mechanism to refund the difference in costs. Please let us know by Friday, Mar 20, 2020 if you would like a full refund.

Thank you to all those in the public health community working hard on this response and other public health issues.

Please contact email us if you have any questions.

Note: The Public Health Physicians of Canada (PHPC) Continuing Professional Development (CPD) days were planned for Sunday, April 26 and Monday, April 27, 2020. The sessions are accredited for continuing medical education and attendance is limited to physicians practicing in public health. The Canadian Public Health Association (CPHA) conference occurs Tuesday April 28 to Thursday April 30, 2020. Please visit the CPHA website for details on the CPHA conference: Public Health 2020.
