Presented by Centre for Research & Innovation Support (CRIS) …
This workshop is intended to provide a basic overview of Data Management Plans (DMPs), a tool often used to lay a foundation for good research data management practices through the life of a research project and beyond. This workshop will cover a basic overview of the components of a typical data management plan and share resources available to support researchers and their teams to get started.
DMPs are currently required at the time of submission for some Tri-Agency opportunities.
Speaker: Dylanne Dearborn, Research Data Management Coordinator, University of Toronto Libraries
Learning Objectives:
By the end of the session, participants will be able to:
- Describe why managing research data is important
- Identify common elements often included in data management plans
- Locate resources and supports for developing a DMP
Date & Time: November 26, 2025, 2:00pm – 3:00pm
