Course Description
The course is designed for medical trainees and regulated health care professionals to apply foundational concepts in OEM in clinical settings (both direct and indirect).
For physicians in the U of T OEM residency/fellowship training program: The course requires at least 36 hours of clinical activities in the learners’ discipline, accomplished via the OEM longitudinal clinic. Additionally, participation in the OEM training program Academic Half Day, CODP and DOM Journal Club for Trainees and Students, and a written exam, are all required.
For physicians not in the U of T OEM residency/fellowship training program, or other regulated health care professionals: In lieu of direct clinical work, learners are required to complete a research project on a clinical OEM topic, which can be arranged with their supervisor. Additionally, participation in the OEM training program Academic Half Day, CODP and DOM Journal Club for Trainees and Students, and a written exam are all required.
