Restart Process for DLSPH

1) Associate Dean of Research receives the Request to Restart Research & Adaptation (RRRA) forms from faculty member. The instructions and links to the relevant accompanying documents are listed in the forms.

Face-to-Face Research Checklist Form

Includes SGS forms from graduate students/non-employee postdocs
Review of proposed plan; feedback/coordination as required
Sharing of RRRA forms with HR (CAO) as a record

2) Associate Dean formulates high-level plan (implementation principles and any aspects of prioritization).
The research plan is developed for DLSPH taking into consideration building sites (i.e. HSB and Gage)
Shared and discussed with the Dean and CAO

3) In consultation with AVP ROC, the Dean approves Research Restart & Adaptation plan.
Dean outlines overall divisional/building plan in the context of non-research activities in the building/division (any faculty member office occupancy, administrative activities, teaching, etc.), including indication of consultation with other division sharing the building space (e.g. Nursing)

4) Associate Dean communicates approvals to faculty members and Division heads

Key Points:
•Students and non-employee postdocs retain the right to decide whether or not to return to on-site research
•Both are required to sign attestations prior to re-engagement
•Requests to re-start graduate research must come from supervisors to unit head
•In event of disagreement between PI/graduate student, matter referred to graduate chair and then SGS
