The Dalla Lana School of Public Health is pleased to welcome back the 16th Annual Student-Led Research Symposium, centred on this year’s theme, From Evidence to Equity. The research symposium will take place in person on November 20, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the University of Toronto’s Hart House.
The Public Health Sciences Research Symposium (PHSRS) brings together DLSPH students to showcase their research and scholarly work, exchange ideas and connect across the School. Current students and faculty are welcome to attend.
About the Theme
Public health research begins with understanding health challenges, but its greatest impact comes from ensuring that knowledge leads to equitable change. From evidence to equity highlights the journey from generating evidence to creating solutions that address the diverse needs of communities.
This theme brings together interdisciplinary approaches across public health to explore how research, policy and practice can advance health equity in a rapidly changing world. Through discussions on emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, climate change, infectious disease preparedness and evolving health systems, this symposium examines how we can build a future where innovation and evidence are used to improve health outcomes for everyone.
Registration
The symposium program will include a keynote address, student oral presentations, poster presentations and a panel discussion. Lunch will be provided.
Registration will be free, with priority given to student presenters. Registration details and the full symposium schedule will be shared closer to the event.
Call for Abstract Submissions
