CHL5120H Position Description -Emergency Posting
This course will draw on the expertise of researchers affiliated with the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health and the University of Toronto to present an overview of issues related to mental health and addictions. Using a population health framework that situates mental health/mental illness and addictions in a complex web of social determinants and societal response, it will examine the epidemiology of these disorders, the philosophies and practices of treatment and prevention services, and the design of service delivery systems, including recent attention to the reform of such systems in Ontario.

Qualifications:
Master’s or PhD candidate (preferred) in a related discipline. Good prior knowledge in the area of mental health/mental illness and addictions, and a thorough understanding of population health and social determinants of health. Preference may be given to candidates with previous essay grading experience.
Duties:
a) Weekly course updates on Quercus; b) Monitor and respond to student queries on Quercus; c) Student contact hours (to be done remotely); d) Marking; d) Tabulating final marks; e) periodic course attendance as needed
