CHL5426H Position Description -Emergency Posting

The course provides in introduction to epidemiological concepts and practice. It’s basically an orientation to epidemiology, with some simple quantitative work, and some writing. It covers topics such as: basic measurement concepts, basics of data and sampling, basics of demography, basics of surveillance, and so on.

Qualifications:

The TAs would ideally be someone who has completed an MPH in epidemiology (which means a first year epidemiology PhD student or higher). That would assure that they have a good basic sense of epidemiology.

Duties:

a) Assist in grading assignments; b) tutorial preparation c) invigilate tests and exams as required; d) holds virtual tutorials and office hours

Relevant Criterion:

The need to acquire experience is the more relevant criterion than previous experience in respect of this posted position.
