CHL5418H Position Description -Emergency Position

Scientific Overviews is a required course for the MPH Epidemiology stream. It has approximately 45 students each year, and is taught via in-class lectures and interactive sessions.

Qualifications:

– Completed the epidemiology courses required for the DLSPH MPH Epidemiology stream, or equivalent academic/work experience as assessed by the course directors. PhD student preferred.
– Excellent critical appraisal, oral and written communication, and organizational skills
– Familiarity with Microsoft Office, including Excel
– Experience with / completed coursework on literature review/synthesis (+/- meta-analysis)
– Self-directed, but able to seek guidance from course instructors when appropriate

Duties:

– Review of search results to ensure that the published literature relevant to assignments topics includes appropriate papers, and does not include a recent systematic review.
– Assist with marking assignments.
– Assist with collating assignment and grades in an Excel spreadsheet

Relevant Criterion:

The need to acquire experience is the more relevant criterion than previous experience in respect of this posted position.
