Course Description

  • This is a seminar and guided-reading course for masters and doctoral students with a focused interest or thesis topic in the area of cancer epidemiology.

Course Objectives

  • to acquire an understanding of current issues and directions in cancer epidemiology including surveillance, research, prevention and cancer control
  • to review and critically appraise epidemiologic studies of cancer, with regard to design, analysis, interpretation and implications

General Requirements

  • CHL 5201, CHL 5202, CHL 5401, CHL 5402 (or equivalent knowledge of epidemiologic methods)
