Melissa Van Bussel, MSc, BScH, A. Stat, an experienced R programmer and analyst at Statistics Canada, will guide us through this interactive workshop. We’ll explore the world of generative AI, focusing on two innovative tools: ChatGPT and GitHub CoPilot. Together, we’ll discuss the mechanics of these tools, dive into their strengths and weaknesses, and explore the ethical considerations arising from their use. Melissa will then demonstrate how to use ChatGPT and GitHub CoPilot as an R programmer, covering different approaches and highlighting best practices.
