PHS100H1 Position Description -Emergency Position

This course introduces students to basic public health-related concepts, significant aspects of the historical development of global health, and a selection of topics illustrating the broad and evolving nature of this field. In addition, it helps students explore the contributions that various disciplines/fields offer to global health.

Course profile

Instructors: Shaza Fadel

Qualifications:

Candidates must have good knowledge of key public health- and global health-related concepts and be able to convey these in classroom and online. PhD students with a critical global public health will be given priority.

Duties:

a) In-class tutorial facilitation with group of approximately 23-30 students; b) Facilitation of online interactions, including on peerScholar (http://www.pearsoned.ca/highered/peerscholar);
c) Consultation with students during office hours; d) Marking of assignments
VERY IMPORTANT: TAs are expected to attend class every week, over the whole term

Relevant Criterion:

Previous experience is the more relevant criterion than the need to acquire experience in respect of this posted position.
