CHL5114H Position Description

CHL5114H (formerly 5807H) is a graduate course that explores different ways of communicating about health. It covers a wide range of topics, including how our behaviour, society, politics, and culture all play a role in health communication.

Qualifications:

Knowledge of social, cultural, and social communications theories, models, frameworks. Knowledge of current Public Health and Health Communication issues and practices such as digitizing public health, patient empowerment and social media, AI and communications, health misinformation, EDIA in health communication, and knowledge mobilization. Familiarity with PPTX, MS Publisher, video, Canva, etc., and be able to assist students on literature search and research methods, as well as scholarly writing.

Duties:

a) Assist in grading assignments; b) hold office hours; c) manage technology (i.e. Quercus); d) other duties as assigned.

Relevant Criterion:

The need to acquire experience is the more relevant criterion.
